Message of the day
Welcome to the new revised website of Tokoroa Weather Live.
Now Operating with a High Quality Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus Weather Station
- Added new local Meso Map with cycling live readings from the local weather group stations Link
- Added Space Weather, covering Solar activity and Magnetic Activity, a work in progress as for the coding as to uderstanding it.
- Well Today (19/10) we had a data outage, guess what, all my fault :(
I spent a couple of $1000 on a high quality station from the USA, but just didnt have the funding to buy a local power supply for it at the end of that, & the batteries went flat.
Have a look at (Tokora Stations)These are the stations in the Tokoroa Weather Group Network, we expect to add Colsons Hill and Aotea soon, a very comprehensive coverage of the local area. The more data we have the better the forcasts and other services.
I host the stations and provide the IT services, and every one gets it free. Think about promoting sponsorship or donating please. - As I get Advisory broadcasts I will make them available on the announce panel in the head of the home page
- Now running Lightning Radar 28-9-2009
- Added to Geo Physical Waikato Lake Levels graphs
- Auckland University are operating and X Band Rain Radar locally. We have the data displayed for you, but I may have to remove it as I do not have permission yet.
- New Website establish TWL Info to show a behind the scenes veiw and help understand the data presented on the main site
- A donate button has been added, in case you feel the urge to support the opertaion of this station.
- New Menu System, move your mouse over the main options those with a black triangle will pop out more options to choose from.
- Automatic updates will stop on the main page after a pre set time. (approx 8 minutes) This is because some users have been leaving the page running in there browser all day using up a lot of bandwidth
- The Web Cams are back, not fully set up and running on a very under powered PC but still workable
- The Contact Us form is there, if you have a suggestion, or which to participate in the survey at the bottom of it.
- Lots of new pages and two live weather interfaces to suit both Flash Users and non flash users.
- The Flash page with the real time dials and gauges is still available just click Live on the left
- A new meso map which displays the weather at the sites of NZ Weather Net Members has been added
- There is a new Trends page listing the highs and lows for each day of the month.
- A complement of New Graphs.
- The Astronomy page gives details of state of the sun and moon plus tide info
- New Earthquakes pages on the Geo Physical Pages
- Fire Danger page in the Forecasts Section
- A New Volcano page with C.N.I. Volcano Web Cams
- The lightning Page shows real time location of lightning strikes
